The Footsteps of Fulton Sheen Prezi

Later this week, I have the opportunity to share my experience teaching about Fulton Sheen at the Diocese of Peoria's Summer Catechetical Conference.  This is a screen shot of the Prezi that I will be using for the presentation.  You can view the presentation here - however, it is mostly pictures so without my commentary, it might not make much sense :).  The reason that I posted it is so that you can see what Prezi can do.  It is so much more interesting than a PowerPoint- I will never look back!

  1. Katie, I do agree that Prezi (and other sites like it) are neat and crisper than PP, but they give me a headache and make me dizzy. Do you know if there's a way to slow down the movement or change it so it's less like a roller coaster? I realize this makes me lame, but it is what it is.

    1. Hmmm... that is interesting. Aside from editing the presentation and changing transitions as the creator, I don't know if there is a way for a viewer to slow down/change the zooming. I do think that Prezi is meant to be viewed from far away, like at the front of a classroom or other large area, which is really different from watching it on a computer screen a foot from your eyes-it is overwhelming when watching it that way. Hopefully it doesn't make anyone sick on Saturday!

  2. Congrats on being in The Post. I enjoyed reading the article and the whole back to school section. I'm even more excited to incorporate your curriculum into my Religion class!
