I love the moving Nativity! I actually included that in my post earlier this week about Advent ideas for anyone- it's a meaningful activity no matter your age. :)Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04459924589076871715noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3984730425043117844.post-77733565890311435812017-11-14T11:11:13.635-06:002017-11-14T11:11:13.635-06:00Love that print, and your idea of scrabble tiles, ...Love that print, and your idea of scrabble tiles, though I do have small children so I can see them being spread out all over. And I have older children (boys) so I can also see some interesting words showing up on my kitchen table (ahem). One of my favorite things we've done for several years: I place the Creche for my Nativity set on one end of our long table (could be a mantle, sideboard, or bookshelf as you suggest) and Joseph and Mary begin their journey on the opposite side of our table on the first Sunday of Advent. Throughout the season of Advent, Joseph and Mary move closer and closer to the Creche, finally arriving on December 23. Jesus arrives before we go to bed on December 24, and then on December 26, the Three Wise Men begin their journey across the table toward the Creche, arriving on Epiphany. Also, with young kids, we quickly learned that we needed a "toy" Nativity set that the kids are allowed to play with. And the breakable one is called the "No Touch Nativity." ;)Diana Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06880941433865136915noreply@blogger.com
