Before and After Meals Prayer Cards

My 5th graders are leaving this school year with a handy-dandy notebook of so many Catholic prayers.  Here's two more to add to your stack:

  1. I love all you do. Quick question: do you have particular resources you recommend for home FHC prep as well as for parish-based prep? I am looking to freshen up my resource list as my third child enters his FHC prep years and I know my parish is also looking for a new program.

    1. Hi Martianne! Congrats on your child's First Holy Communion Prep. A few things we have used before that I would recommend to strengthen a standard curriculum include:
-Sadlier's First Reconciliation and First Communion prep books
      We Believe and Celebrate
-Kendra Tierney's Little Book on Confession
      -Holy Heroes' Glory Stories
      -The Eucharist for Little Children
      -Don't Drink the Holy Water
      A Child's First Communion Video

  2. Thank you for all that you do! I came across your blog when looking for materials for my 8th grade PSR class. I'm glad I signed up for your email updates because now I have these terrific prayer cards! We always do grace before meals in my home but now we're going to add grace after meals!

  3. Hello Katie Anne. I am Pastor from Mumbai, India. I am blessed and feel privileged to know you as well as get connected with you because of who you are in the Lord Jesus Christ. I am also encouraged and blessed by the very title of your blog "Look to Him and Be Radiant". Also to go through your post on "Before and After meals Prayer Cards has been so encouraging. Thank you so much for it. I love to get connected with the people of God around the globe to be encouraged, strengthened and praying for one another. I have been in the Pastoral ministry for last 37 yrs in this great city of Mumbai a city with a great contrast where richest of rich and the poorest of poor live. We reach out to the poorest of poor with the love of Christ to bring healing to the broken hearted. We also encourage young and the adults from the west to come to Mumbai to work with us during their vacation time. We would love to have you come to Mumbai with your friends to work with us during your vacation time. I am sure you will have a life changing experience. In the past many young people from the west irrespective of their denominational background have come and worked with us. My email id is: dhwankhede(at)gmail(dot)com and my name is Diwakar Wankhede. looking forward to hear from you very soon. God's richest blessings on you, your family and friends and also wishing you a blessed and a Christ centered rest of the year 2016.

  4. hi,

The after meal prayer appears to be missing the "forever," after the word reigns and before the world without end.

    1. Hi Kimberly! Some versions of this prayer (there are many!) use the word "forever" and some use "world without end" and some use both. This is the version that my school uses.
