Habemus Papam! Resources for Pope Leo XIV

My students and coworkers really enjoyed this Pope Leo XIV "This or That" style slideshow. There are 10 this or that questions, followed by a slide with the "answer" and additional biographical info. It's a great way to give kids a quick overview of some facts about his life!

I made a short matching crossword puzzle if you'd like kids to fill it out as you talk, or have them click through the slides and answer on their own.

And it's still a perfect time to read my book We Have a Pope.
We Have a Pope is a picture book that shares with kids the legacy of the Papacy beginning with St. Peter, the central role of the Holy Spirit in guiding the Church, and step-by-step of what happens during a Conclave. You can learn more about it, see some inside views, and read reviews in this post.
Amazon hasn't been able to keep it in stock (so sorry!) but it is shipping immediately from my publisher St. Paul Center AND they are offering free shipping (through June) with code BOGNER2025.

Listen to Katie Read We Have a Pope!

Have your kids been listening to Cuddle Up: Catholic Storytime podcast? It is so fun! My niece and nephews can't get enough of it. Beloved author Gracie Jagla (God the Father and the Best Day Ever, When Mary Says Yes, and many more) hosts the podcast and invites authors of some of your favorite Catholic children's books to read their books in full. They also have conversations and Q&A around the topic of the book. There are around 20 episodes already, and the library keeps growing! I'm honored to have recorded an episode covering the Sacred Triduum from All about Lent & Holy Week, as well as an episode for We Have a Pope

Click here to listen to me read my book We Have a Pope on the Cuddle Up podcast. We also talk about our favorite popes, exciting parts of the conclave, and more! (and the recording has music and sound effects- it's so fun to listen to!)
