How to Make an Origami Papal Miter

One way to celebrate the election of a new Pope is to make an origami Papal Miter. My students have loved making these when we learn about Holy Orders in my classroom. You can make a papal miter out of any size sheet of paper- from a regular 8.5x11 like this one or a piece of wrapping/craft paper to make a miter big enough to wear! Here are a few miters my niece and nephews decorated :). Your kids/student can decorate theirs with symbols of papacy like keys, a dove, or fish. White and gold are perfect colors, or they can make one for each liturgical season!
