I've started a new series of Saint resources that I'm happy to compile together here in this post. These resources grew out of a desire to have a simple, short, meaningful biography for children alongside a basic coloring page. Trust me, I love a good Saint coloring page, but I also want my students to understand and remember the significance of their lives. This way while they are coloring and I am talking about the Saint, my students also have a short bio to read. It also comes in handy alongside a wordsearch or crossword puzzle. The article can be used to research and apply facts whether for a short study (I often use these for shortened classes or weird schedule days), or they'd work great for a choice project or independent study.
Each of the collections vary, but they may contain:
- A short biography of the Saint, targeted to a 3rd-6th grader, alongside a simple image to color
- So far I also have all of those biography pages available in Spanish!
- Matching puzzles like crosswords with clues taken directly from that biography. No need for an additional source or computer for research
- Keys for all the puzzles (you're welcome!)
- Other resources, like quote coloring pages

This is another AMAZING resource! Thank you for sharing your content. It is a blessing to our PRE program to augment our curriculum ,and I particularly love that these are also available in Spanish. While our kids are used to learning in English at school, Spanish helps us bridge the gap with parents. Some parents are at different levels with English, and sometimes it is simply a vocabulary issues with faith vocabulary.
ReplyDeleteSo grateful to hear that these are helpful! And yes, I wish that I could offer everything in both Spanish and English, but I'm slowly increasing the number of resources!
